From Paris With Love

Starting off with shots of Paris, the setting for the film, 'From Paris, With Love' doesn't give any hints or tips to what the rest of the movie will be like. The first few scenes are good but not great, getting us to know the main character and his life. But then we see Travolta. His first appearance is quite far into the film but he is an instant star. With his bald head and beard he certainly looks the part and his character, Charlie Wax, is the one thing that makes the film great. With James Reese (Jonathan Rhys Myers) tagging along with the mad, hilarious and at times outrageous Wax, a great partnership is created. Their first scene is hilarious with Travolta showing a bit of Pelham 1 2 3's Ryder in his characters crazy dialogue.
In all the movie is a great watch. with everything as it should be and with a perfectly fitting ending that is sure to get you asking for more. Rhys Myers' acting is good but is overshadowed by Travolta. It's more of a comedy than an action thriller but, what's so bad about that?
